Nove

So today was the last day of the semester. We each went into our drawing class for about thirty seconds to pick up our portfolios. I got another A, despite my firm assumptions that I would get a low B. But, hey, I certainly can't argue. I'm thrilled with it, even if I'm less than thrilled at leaving my art group.
Cue the collective sniffle.
We made do with wasting time together, doodling, and having In-N-Out for lunch.
But now, the important part: my semester is over. I can sleep in to ungodly hours, and life is awesome.

30x30 Items:
Dress: Forever 21
Other stuff:
Coat: mom | Necklace: Claire's | Bracelet: vintage | Tights: WalMart | Boots: Forever
The thing about this coat is that it makes me want to be all ladylike. I want to pair it with tights that don't have holes (which drives my mom batty, by the way), some heels, and red lipstick. Hmm. I think I may have to do that one of these days. You know, be a lady.
'Tis the season, after all.

Fifteen

Surprise! Outfit post!

Jacket: Fashion Bug | Brooch: vintage | Top: thrifted | Skirt: mom's | Shoes: Payless
I thought I'd look spiffy for this project I've got to do. I have to film a scene from A Doll's House for my English class, and let me tell you, I am less than enthused. My closet, on the other hand, is clearly thrilled. So are these shoes. I never wear them. I really ought to wear them more often, though, because I'm kind of in love with them. Also, it's June, and I live in the desert. The jacket lasted a whole minute before I started melting. Silly me, wearing jackets in the summer. It's like I'm begging for a heat stroke.
Also, this is my not-so-winning attempt at a Gibson tuck. I really need to practice it. Or not, actually—I'm kind of digging it.
Well, now I'm off to do this project and eagerly await being on the road. Tomorrow is so far away!

Eleven

Today I've: put off writing an essay that's due in about five hours, finished Doctor Who, listened to the entire discography of Sleeping At Last, and painted my nails.
I'm not stalling.
I don't do that.
Ahem.

I'm spending today writing and putting off my essay. Why am I taking a summer class again? Sigh.

Six and a Birthday Lunch

My friend, Erika, turns twenty on Friday. Since she's going to be off adventuring on an island that day, we decided to celebrate today. We got lunch at one of our favourite restaurants, The Lemon Leaf Cafe, and had frozen yogurt. We've been chilling at her house ever since.
Yeah.

Skirt: ASOS Curve | Top: Forever 21 | Camisole: Old Navy | Bracelets: Vintage | Necklace: DIY | Shoes: Payless | Bag: Mulberry for Target | Sunglasses: Tilly's
I have no idea where Erika's (flat) sandals are from, sorry.

Three

It's hot today, which means I've spent all of it inside, wishing that we had Otter Pops and reading. I should've gone swimming.

Two

Yesterday was spent swimming, and my hair thanked me for it, sort of. It's a horrible mess (sorry, guys), but I like the way it looks (even sorrier, guys). Summer makes my hair happy.
Or something like that.
Today was spent watching sitcoms and eating ice cream with Casey. It was also spent contemplating naptime and wanting Chinese food. I'm livin' large this summer.

Dress: Forever 21| Necklace: thrifted, and broken. Meh. | Bracelets: Forever 21 | Ring: vintage-ish | Sandals: Marshall's
My face might vaguely suggest looking put-together, but let's let my hair put that idea to rest. I like it, though, okay? Any excuse to be lazy. Oh, and my lipstick is "Siren" by Revlon. I love orange lipstick, so much.
So that's it for today. Hopefully I'll get some Chinese food tonight. All I know for sure is that I'm spending the rest of the day writing, watching Doctor Who, and listening to so much Cold War Kids.

One

First order of business for the summer: get up at two-thirty in the afternoon, which was glorious. I regret nothing.
Second order of business for the summer: get dressed and take pictures. I used two items from my list, the flutter-sleeve blouse and the eyelet skirt. I really should make a master item post.

Skirt: Fashion Bug | Top: Marshall's | Shoes: Payless | Ring: Vintage (for two bucks, living la vida awesome) | Cuff: vintage (hand-me-down, actually)
My hair is barely acceptable, but that's okay, because it will soon be full of chlorine and happiness. That's right, the third order of business for the summer: swimming. And hopefully not getting sunburned. Challenge accepted.

Flat Out Run

Let me tell you, today's outfit was not made for running. Skirts just laugh at you while you pound pavement, and you know that they are intentionally making you life suck.
Luckily, some lovely strangers held the bus for me.
Anyway, I just thought I should share my outfit today, which was weirdly...professional? I don't know, I wore a blazer.

Blouse: thrifted | Skirt: Fashion Bug | Blazer: Forever 21 | Necklace: Fashion Bug | Bangles: Forever 21 | Orange bracelet: Casey | Ring: vintage or something | Shoes: vintage, and six bucks, and obnoxiously comfortable | Sunglasses: Tilly's
I am disappointed in myself for not getting a better shot of these sunglasses, but rest assured, they are wonderful. Cat-eyes with a little rhinestone bow on one corner. I really ought to take a picture of my sunglasses collection one of these days, even though it's still pretty small. Whatever, I still love them.

USA! USA! USA!

The title is irrelevant to everything but the sidewalk spray-painted with USA that caused us to chant. Really, Casey and I are always looking for an excuse to chant.
Anyway.
Let's start this post off with a bit of lusting, shall we? Because we went to the mall today and I saw these fantastic smoking slippers from Steve Madden, and I'm in love, and I came close to being in debt. They're just so perfect! I saw a black studded pair that I love more than the rest, but these pictures ought to suffice.

They're just so flawless. Find them here, here, and here. Perhaps you'll have an extremely benevolent streak and gift a girl a pair and know that she will wear them for the rest of her life. Haha.
We also made friends with an adorable pug puppy. She liked to chew on the pom-poms of my skirt, but I was totally okay with it because she was just too cute, and I was too charmed to care. Apparently, I will let anything particularly adorable chew on my clothes. This is important stuff to know.
I would have bought her and named her macaroni, but I'm pretty sure my cat would eat her. My cat isn't exactly nice, and she's bigger than that dog will ever be. She's kind of a bully.

Anyway, here's what I wore today.
